What is Power Flushing?

Power flushing is essentially the process of using a machine to push water with cleaning chemicals through a central heating system at high pressure. This should dislodge blockages, clear away sludge, and generally clear your system.

While the chemicals work on the sludge, the dirty water will be purged from the system, and new, clean water will replace it. Once the process has finished, your system should have much better circulation, and be working to maximum efficiency, reducing your bills.

How long does powerflushing take?

The time taken to power flush depends on the amount of radiators you have and how badly they are clogged. up to 6 radiators can take around 2-3 hours and up to 15 radiators can take a whole day. The radiators are flushed individually to make sure they are all clean.

What do i need to prepare before having a power flush carried out?

The area around the radiators needs to be clear to access the pipework. The boiler area will also need to be clear so we can access all pipework associated to the heating system. We use water and dust sheets so your floor wont get messy.
